for people, pets & babies.
What started out 10 years ago as a part-time
business has become a full-time operation for Donna and Allan.
They began making hats and headbands for a local cross country ski
area after visiting the mill at Malden. Friends that were Nordic
or Alpine skiers wanted to know where they could purchase their
line, so they took it on the road. Their products are now carried
at many Alpine, Nordic and Whitewater shops.
Deer Hill Fleece is dedicated to providing
high-quality, locally made, durable clothing. The line features
the finest raw materials - fabrics purchased from Malden Mills,
YKK zippers - assembled by a great crew of local stitchers. They
have designed many of their pieces on requests made by outdoor
enthusiasts and shop owners.
Throughout all of this, they have always been
concerned about fleece pieces going into landfill. So four years
ago, Donna and Allan solved that challenge by creating the
"purr-fect" pet bed - filled with all the fleece piece
leftovers! They love to see these pieces put to good use, and the
animals who have slept on one of our beds just love them too! |
